SLMA Annual Conference: All The Information You May Need

On Wednesday, over 450 attendees will convene in Beaver Creek, Colorado for the 2018 SLMA Annual Conference!

WEDNESDAY, JULY 18

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Teen Event: Beaver Creek Tablet Trek
Meet at the fire pit on the Park Lawn at 5:55 PM for a brief introduction. You may want to bring a light jacket!

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Chairman's Welcome Reception 
Located on the Park Lawn. We will be handing out badges at this event!

7:30 PM - 10:00 PM - Past Chairman's Dinner (Invite Only)

THURSDAY, JULY 19

7:15 AM - 1:00 PM - Golf Tournament 
Meet in the Park Hyatt lobby at 7:00 AM for transportation. The tournament will be held at the EagleVai Golf Club. If you need to rent clubs, please contact the Club directly at (970) 790-1200 and let them know you’ll be with the SLMA group.

7:30 AM - 1:00 PM - Fly Fishing Excursion
Meet in the Park Hyatt lobby at 7:15 AM for transportation. All necessary fishing equipment will be provided. You will want to bring sunglasses, a brimmed hat, a long-sleeved shirt, and socks. *YOU WILL NEED A FISHING LICENSE!! Contact Alexis Sivcovich if you have not already filled out the proper form.

8:30 AM - 2:00 PM - Champagne Brunch & Shopping in Vail Village
Meet in the Park Hyatt lobby at 8:15 AM for transportation. Brunch will be served at 9:00 AM at Vintage Restaurant. Shuttles will run on a continuous loop from the Park Hyatt to Vail until 2:00 PM (last shuttle leaves Vail at 1:15 PM).

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM - White Water Rafting 
Meet in the Park Hyatt lobby at 8:45 AM for transportation. Lakota Guides will provide helmets, personal flotation devices, and paddles. Please consider wearing your swimsuit, quick dry shorts and t-shirt, river shoes that will not fall off and are okay to get dirty, baseball hat, and sunglasses with a retainer string.

Meet in the Park Hyatt lobby at 8:45 AM for transportation. Please wear confortable shoes.

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Keynote Session with Tom Koulopoulos 
Gerald R. Ford Hall - Sawatch Hall - Mt. Jackson. Tom Koulopoulos is chairman of the Boston-based global innovation think tank, Delphi Group. Tom is also an Executive in Residence at Bently University, the past Executive Director of the Babson College Center for Business Innovation, and the founder of the Perot Systems Innovation Lab. He’s been named one of the most influential consultants by InformationWeek magazine and his articles and insights has appeared in national and international print and broadcast media such as BusinessWeek, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, FastCompany, The Economist, CNBC, CNN, and NPR. The latest of his ten books, The Gen Z Effect, focuses on the dramatic changes that will come about as the result of what he calls “Hyperconnectivity.” His work has been praised by luminaries such as Tom Peters, who called his writing, “a brilliant vision of where we must take our enterprises to survive and thrive.” And, according to Tom’s mentor, the late Peter Drucker, “Tom makes you question not only the way you run your busines, but the way you run yourself.”
