Government & Regulatory Affairs

Focused on federal issues of bottom line importance to solid sawn lumber manufacturers, SLMA works with federal legislators and government agencies to be sure SLMA members are well informed and represented in Washington, DC.

When issues arise that require your immediate attention, SLMA releases Legislative Alerts via e-mail. These alerts are your key to getting involved and helping to make a difference by contacting your Members of Congress or submitting comments to government agencies. When you receive these alerts, please take a moment to read them and take action.

SLMA members can access the monthly SLMA Regulatory Update by signing in here. SLMA members also receive government affairs updates in SLMA's weekly Management Update e-mails. Members interested in becoming more involved in the government program are welcome to join the SLMA Government Affairs Committee by contacting SLMA's Government Affairs Director Will Telligman at will@slma.org.
